During our recent stay at Riverside Guest Lodge in Oudtshoorn, my family and I were greeted by the warm hospitality of Albert and Eliza, who truly embody the spirit of eco-friendly accommodation. The spacious log cottage we occupied was equipped with a fully stocked kitchenette and a splendid balcony overlooking the Grobbelaars River, perfect for cozy evenings with a local wine and cheese board. The lodge's commitment to sustainability was evident in every detail, from the natural materials in our stylish bathroom to the carefully curated amenities that ensured our comfort, such as premium bedding and air-conditioning. Mornings were made brighter by the fabulous breakfast, featuring a rich selection of hot dishes and fresh produce, fueling us for a day of exploring nearby attractions like the iconic Cango Caves and the stunning Swartberg Pass. With its charming surroundings and a variety of recreational options such as cycling and a splash pool, Riverside Guest Lodge is a hidden gem that balances comfort, hospitality, and an authentic connection to nature.
